Madison, WI - This small site posed the challenge of creating an intimate backyard area, with year-round access to a garage and views from the kitchen window. We created this space with slight grade changes and a delicate mix of paving and plant materials. Because the paths provide access to the garage, the homeowners get to pass through their gardens every day. Photos: Marcia Hansen Photography
