Extending this family's living space into the outdoors included providing places for neighborhood kids to gather and play and comfortable areas for adults to visit. We did this by creating a front yard coffee patio tucked into hillside rock gardens, sunken steps that create access through side gardens down to the lake, and a multi-level deck that provides space above and below for play, relaxing, dining and entertaining.
